The UN and world leaders fail to impose sanctions on the Vatican over sexual abuse of tens of thousands of children , News, BREAKING NEWS

It is hard to forget the all telling briefing of the United Nations back in February of 2014, that rightly exposed the sexual exploitation and rape of tens of thousand of children by leaders of the Catholic church.

UN watchdog Kirsten Sandberg, outlined that the church had an immoral "code of silence" by clerics to prevent them reporting attacks to police, and moved abusers from parish to parish "in an attempt to cover up such crimes."

"The committee is gravely concerned that the Holy See has not acknowledged the extent of the crimes committed, has not taken the necessary measures to address cases of child sexual abuse and to protect children, and has adopted policies and practices which have led to the continuation of the abuse by and the impunity of the perpetrators," the report said.

They have adopted policies and practices which have led to the continuation of the abuse by and the impunity of the perpetrators," the UN report stated.

The Vatican was urged to "immediately remove all known and suspected child sexual abusers from assignment and refer the matter to the relevant law enforcement authorities for investigation and prosecution purposes."

Tthe Vatican "systematically" placed the reputation of the church over the protection of children and had breached the Convention [on the Rights of the Child] as up to now, because they haven't done all the things that they should have done."

What has the UN done to protect more children from being abused? Nothing!

After outlining the sexual exploitation and rape of tens of thousand of children, the UN simply gives the Vatican a warning. Imagine your child being raped and abused and instead of the police prosecuting the rapist, they simply let them off with a stern warning.

Why is the Vatican seemingly above international laws on Human Rights and the protection of children? Why have they been allowed to orchestrate the habitual abuse and rape of countless children all over the world for so long? Why have children been viewed as less important than the reputation of the church? Why do world leaders stand back and simply let it happen?

Why?
